About the Founder
Raised where diamonds are cut. Built somewhere they'd be grown instead.
“I didn't want to sell a better diamond. I wanted to sell one I could actually stand behind.”
Sniggy was born and raised in the diamond-cutting capital of the world, surrounded from childhood by an industry most people only ever see in a showcase window. What she saw growing up was different — the scale, the waste, the human and environmental cost sitting quietly behind every polished stone.
A committed vegan with a deep, lifelong regard for the planet, she carried that same standard into everything else she touched. So when her love of jewellery grew into something she wanted to build a career around, she went looking for a brand that treated the earth with the same care she did. She couldn't find one. Mined diamonds, she realised, were never going to be the answer — and no one else seemed to be asking the question.
Verasah is the answer she built herself: her values, her ambition for a genuinely sustainable jewellery industry, and a lifelong love of the craft, brought together under one house.
